I never thought you could see results in just five days. While the results weren’t as dramatic as an episode of the Biggest Loser, the results were quite pleasing. If you remember my initial impressions of the DVD, you’ll see that I was a bit skeptical. I’m quite the believer now! Kim did a great job motivating while looking fabulous of course (does the girl sweat?!?!). She’s got some major self-confidence to get up there and do this video. So, Kim, thanks for the great work out!

I tried all of the DVD’s and let me tell you, I am sore in places that I’ve never been sore before. These workouts focus on the hips and tummy, which seems to be the problem spot on most women. I for one, am built pear-shaped and I’ve never had a fitness DVD that focused on where I needed it the most!

So, I’ll cut to the chase, because I know it’s what you want to see the most. Drumroll please…

July 2, 2008 - a little site, called thin:dependence was born.  A few friends and I had no idea what it took to keep something like this running, but we were determined to get our message out.  Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean you have to go broke trying - or lose our  minds! Here we were, lost in a sea of weight loss websites and ‘lose weight fast’ schemes everywhere.. How could we stand out? We didn’t try so much to stand out, as we just tried to be true to ourselves in what we look for when we’re reading on the web, and bring it to you to enjoy. We declared our thin:dependence, and wanted you to do the same!

We have changed format a few times, and we’ve changed writers, but the focus remains the same - getting healthy without the excuses!

Taking a look back, let’s look at some of my favorite pieces!

From recipes, like Meatloaf, from Cook Yourself Thin, Homemade Baby Food and finally - the Ginger Chicken!

And then the 1250 Calorie Diet is a great starting point for anyone looking to gain a little structure.

Once you’ve got your diet underway, how about the question; Is a Treadmill Better than Walking?

Moving into 2009 - we’ve found some tips, but we’ve also been lucky enough to branch off into a new area, and provide thin:dependence readers with giveaways.  Our first (of many to come) was the Flexitarian Diet book.
